Basic Function:


Single-use Kyphoplasty Balloon Catheter is inserted bilaterally into the cancellous

bone of the fractured vertebral body. Inflation by increasing

the volume of the balloons applies force to the surrounding

bone. The applied forces move the bone, thereby restoring as

close to normal anatomy as possible and creating a void. After

the maximum reduction is achieved, the balloons are deflated

and removed from the bone (See Figure 2). The physician then

completes the procedure by stabilizing the reduction.
